Granddaughter’s opinion on evolution teachings

“A fair result can be obtained only by fully stating and balancing the facts and arguments on both sides of each question.”
Charles Darwin himself said this. So why aren’t we students aloud to be taught about both sides of his theory of evolution? Students are only taught evolution and the ‘facts’ supporting it. But they are not taught the facts against it, like Haeckel’s faked drawings of embryos. These drawings are still used in school, yet they have been proven to be fake. I myself have seen the drawings in two separate classes I had this year. Both times I had to say that the drawings were faked before the teacher could agree with me.
Other facts used in class are inconclusive or do not actually prove Darwin’s theory. Darwin himself admitted that he could be proven wrong. So why can’t anyone else admit he might be wrong?
I personally either want to be taught both sides of an issue or not be taught it at all. And I do not like being taught lies!
The textbooks say that natural selection proves Darwin’s theory. But the fact is that it doesn’t. Species that adjusts because of natural selection often adjusts back when the changes on their environment return to average. Why isn’t that taught in science class? Students should be taught both sides of the issue!
